Pressure, but happy for either. Which build style do you most enjoy (Spike, Pressure, Split)? Any, doesn't really matter to me. A wins a win. How many hours have you been playing GW: 1956 hrs, 29 months. How much of your day is spent in PvP/PvE (Example: 50% PvP, 50% PvE): Used to be 100% PvE, but have since become 100% PvP. What hours are you available to play? Depends on the day, 3-4 hours on working days, all day on off days. Have You Been a Part of Any Other GW Guild (Full guild names and highest rank reached): Eldars of Darkness - officer, United Aussie Warriors - member. How Did Your Last Guild(s) Fail You?: Didn't, it just got sabotaged alot. Also was a PvE causal guild, and I'm strongly into PvP now. Describe Your Personality While Playing: Tactical, calculating, opportunist smart-ass, try to get along with everyone, fairly funny. Unlocks Status of Account(s): All campaigns, all ele elites, most necro and ranger elites, many elites from each profession and a large amount of skills from all. Most equipment unlocked. Can unlock anything on a whim. Total Balthazar’s Faction Gained: 69, 784 points. How many GvG's have you participated in?: About 20 or so. Keen to expand this. Fame: 0 Gladiator Points: 13 (yeah, its kinda pathetic) Champion Points: 0 How do you respond to constructive criticism: Always welcome, along as they can handle some in return. Like to debate. Why do you want to join this guild? To vastly increase my GvG experience, and to implement some of my team builds. What makes you more qualified than the next applicant for your position? Game experience, plain and simple. I know the game and its mechanics like the back of my hand. Besides, my build makings skills are pretty sharp. Do you have any references? David The Ripper , Fillian Bronse , Princess Jai . Anything Else? While I may not be exceedingly experienced in PvP, I've never had any difficultly with it. I am very confident in my build making skills, and there really is little I can't do. Particularity enjoy thinking outside the box, and using builds and strategy's few think about. Such as my single profession team builds, which are usually quite powerful. (If only I could get enough people interested, thats the tricky part) Anyways, I would very much enjoy being a part of your guild, you sound rather nice. I'm sure I could be of use to you. Cheers. ~Yoh

Wow, this lack of response is heart warming... feel kinda tingly...... or that may be due to the frostbite from sitting outside in the cold for so long. :D (I realize that the lack of response could be due to something completely unrelated, but just in case its not) But in all due seriousness, I felt I may need to explain a bit more about myself, as you guys don't seem to be taken back PvE 'l33t'ness. While I understand that taking in someone with a fair lack of PvP experience may sound like a waste of time on your part, I would argue that even while some people spend every waking moment in PvP, doesn't making them a good player, it just means they have no (RL) social life. I on the other hand have a great deal of experience, specifically with each of the professions and creating builds. (which I explained in excess in my first post) Having played GW from the get go, I have basically soloed my way through everything, and have used each profession several times. While my favorite classes are the ele and ranger, i'm also quite experienced with the necro, warrior, monk, dervish, paragon, and sin. I do have some experience with the rit and mes, there just no good for PvE, add I just don't like them that much. Well, actually I don't like the monk or sin either, but I'm still pretty good with them. (mostly dislike the reputation they have more than anything else.) The only real reason I never really got into PvP, was the lack of a PvP guild. Theres only so much you can do on your own. (it didn't help that timezone/work and crappy internet connection got in the way either) But of course, things change. So far, what little PvP I have done (RA/AB) usual ends up with me on the winning side. Esp in Ab, as often we won at the last min simply from my action alone. (like capping their base when they have the advantage) One of my favorite GW pastimes is creating all single profession team builds. And I have recently created several, a couple in particular that I believe LaMorgana would take to like a duck to water. That is a all monk team build. I have made two variations (one because of your guild preferred fighting style), one works as a single cognitive unit, with and optional runner; and the other is designed for a 4/4 split. I have made and -*test*-('")ed each build, and its one of the most impressive things i've ever seen a monk do. (beside dancing half naked) When you use them right, they can really kick ass. Both offensively and defensively. While I would like to go into more detail of just how they work, I'd rather not spill the beans before I become a member, you understand. But take it from me, these builds really do work, and I'm sure they would have quite an impact on your guild rating. (not that it means anything to me, but it means something to you and thats good enough for me) And also as you could by now no doubt tell, I like to rant something wicked. And when I realize that, its time for me to STFU. Anyway, whenever your ready, or just want to chat, I'll be sulking in a dark corner somewhere. lol. ~Yoh

o My...lol that was pretty intertaining. We have a core team but can always bring in new members under the understanding that they will have to work their way up to get any oppotunity for a spot. We do have a pug inour alliance that we use often in which second accts go there aswell as new recruits. IF this is somthing that interests you please let me know. I appreciated the time you spent to get our attention. Bravo.

Heheh, i'm glad you found me funny at least. By all means I'm fine to start at the bottom rung on the ladder. As long as I'm given the opportunity, I'll take it and run with it. (give me an inch, and i'll take a mile) :D As long as I can use my team builds at some stage, I'll be happy. (happier still if I'm right, and they do have runaway victories, but i could be a bit naive)

Memento- 12-12-2007

The following post may sound fairly harsh, but I think it oughta be said. I do admire your drive and determination to work your way up, I definitely felt the same way. However, while brining some confidence into an app is essential, I think you moved into cockiness and I don't think you can live up to some of the claims you have made. You say the big reason for accepting you is due to your large amount of game knowledge? I'm not seeing the real proof, 60 some k faction 13 glad points and experience in RA/AB. I don't quite consider that extensive experience, and at the same time you do state you don't have all that much PvP experience. I'm sure you can know all the game mechanics but game mechanics are found in the manual that came with the game, Hamstring Firestorm also came with it. You can know the aftercasts of spells and how to quarterknock on a dev hammer all you want, putting it into play is what counts. I am totally ok with having someone learn, but if you come in with an attitude of I am good I just need to prove it I don't think you can learn to the same extent as someone who acknowledges their lack of experience. The next thing I wanted to touch upon was the whole build making idea. I often am quite critical because I think at times I share the same cockiness I talked about and am quite harsh at times, but with build making there isn't really a place for it. Modifications and the such always need to be made to fit a guild's play style, but a rank 500 guilds don't really shoot up the ladder because they have some great original build that no one ever thought of. Its always safe to go with a basic balanced shell build and to make the mods as you see fit for your guild and work off of that. Often newer players will try and be super original and have their own awesome builds that no one ever heard of, play a few games in RA and you will see it. If anything, I would have someone take all the generic templates, no matter how boring it sounds, you take something that works and work with that, you can't take some new build and expect it to work. There is rarely some original build that is worth playing otherwise it would already be in the meta, how often do you see new bars worked in? Anyway, there is my take. Those were just some opinions I thought oughta be stated, I am no more then a new recruit as well so it means little overall, but definitely while my statements are harsh I think they oughta be taken into consideration. I wasn't sure how to say it any nicer, I truly do not mean any harm by it, I just wanted it to be heard. You put in some effort into your app and the post after and if there is anything at all that I can respect its determination, so roll with that and things oughta be great. Also, I was pretty hesitant about making this post, I don't wanna have a new member already have some bitterness towards me as it will only lead to problems. If you disagree with what I've said I want to know, but afterwards I hope we can let it go and let it stay in the past.

Ranmaz- 12-13-2007

No worries Momento. It was not just you. I also was given the impression that his confidence displayed in his app was moved over to the theme of cockiness. I don't know if that was sarcasm or not, but I was never hinted that it was sarcasm. We can continue all day , picking off what he has said, and say that "this is wrong in my opinion", etc. "i believe mesmer and rits can play extremely effective roles in pve, " etc. Having said that, that's already given myself the opinion that he does lack the experience, and he doesn't play with an open mind. As you said too Momento, My opinions are probably harsh to, but I'm just saying it , as how I see it. And also, I don't mean any harm either. I have better things to do , than try to attempt to inflict harm or hurt feelings of another across over the internet. I also just want to state my opinion, and in that, make it so that your opinion is of value, and that it doesn't stand alone.

LaMorgana- 12-13-2007

I agree ,he comes off very cocky but with that I think...well, if you are soo sure of yourself ...prove it! Of course, he will start gvgs with Rome...and we will sit back and all ponder whether he was able to back-up his claims or if he is in "over his head." In axe, everyone gets a fair shake.

Yoh- 12-14-2007

Hmmm, well I agree that I do come off as a bit cocky, and I realize I have a fair bit to learn about GvG, which is the whole point of why I came here. But I really am quite confident. And as to the whole build thing, yeah it is a pastime, and I'm not going to twist your arm about it. I just find this kind of thing fun, and who knows, it might just work. I just take everything with about a spoon full of salt. As for my opinions on professions, well there just that, my opinions, which should be taken as likely as just about everything else I rant about. :D It just my experience that their just not quite as good in many situations, but I could be dead wrong. Anythings good if you know how to use it. I do refute one thing thou, is that I in fact play with a very open mind, which I why I'm always looking for new methods, new builds, and just plain new possibilities. Sticking with whats safe may work, but then just about everyone else sounds like their doing the same thing. Which begs the question, what make you better or worse than anyone else out there? Well, I would say teamwork, experience, and coordination would go a long way to victory. But a good build helps. Just can't say I like the idea of a security blanket, and thinking with such small confines. All I ask is that you at least entertain the idea of thinking outside the box from time to time. Try something new, who knows, you might come to like it. Btw, don't worry, I didn't take offense to anything you said, most of is true (or close enough). So feel free to take the piss out of me to heaven or high water. It really doesn't bother me.
