Hey guys, there was a power-surge and it corrupted my hard-drive or something so my husband says my computer will be down a few days. Please get gvg's going in the Smurf Guild Rome. DOnt worry about rank just play and have fun. I will be back soon. My kids computer will let me check it but I can't pvp on this machines layout ect. :shock: :cry: :wink:

if you have your XP Pro cd you can boot to it: press Enter at the first screen press R at the second screen to Repair your XP installation (IF IT ASKS YOU TO INSTALL A FRESH COPY OR MESS WITH PARTITIONS DONT DO IT) another option is to press R at the first screen and type "CHKDSK -P" (without quotes) in the command line. This will check your disk for physical errors and move data on bad sectors to usable ones. I think the first option is all you should need since a power failure triggered your pc not booting. keep in mind if you do the second option you may need to do the first option afterwards.

That's assuming it's a software issue, and not hardware. Powersurges can damage chips and other internal pc components.
